Trilogy of the Sacred Surrender

The Shattered Reflection

My heart and mind were like a fogged-up mirror.

My legs were unfit to stand,

shaking like a squeaking door;

My eyes were soaked in heavy tears,

swollen as though stung by a bee.

All I wanted was to hear, "It’s a prank."

Day and night, I wished and hoped;

with heavy eyes seeking answers,

I dared to question the "I Am":

"WHY?"

The Bridge of Surrender

But the "I Am" answered with a silence that held me,

until my "Why" grew tired and my knees hit the floor.

I lay down my anger at the foot of the throne,

trading my heavy questions for a weightless peace.

It is not that the ache has vanished,

or that I do not miss the sound of your names;

it is simply that I have found the strength to whisper:

"Thy will be done."

The Eternal Chorus

Now, when I look up, the fog has cleared from the glass.

I see you not as gone, but as gone before me

standing in a light that knows no shadow,

lost in a melody that never finds an end.

You are there, vibrant and whole, singing His praise,

while your love for us turns into prayers that rise like incense.

Though a world sits between us, we share the same song;

you are home in His glory, and I am held in His grace.
