Otamere Osarodion Emmanuel is a Nigerian music educator, composer, and choral director with extensive experience in teaching, performance, and music administration. He currently serves as the acting head of the Department of Music Education at Edo State College of Education, where he is instrumental in shaping the department’s curriculum and fostering musical excellence among students.

His academic journey includes ongoing postgraduate studies at Delta State University, Abraka, where he is pursuing a Master of Arts in Music. His expertise spans music composition, choral conducting, and interdisciplinary research at the intersection of composition, environmental studies, and performance, particularly within the African musical tradition.

As a dedicated educator, Otamere has taught and overseen music training courses at various institutions, including Quincy Academy, Chariville High School, Benin Institute for Musical Arts, University of Benin, and Deeper Life High School. He is also actively involved in choral music as the director of the Benin Chorale and Philharmonic Nigeria, an ensemble committed to excellence in vocal and orchestral performance.

Beyond academia, Otamere is developing a portfolio of original compositions, aiming to showcase his creative work for advanced music programs, commissions, and professional engagements. His interests in opera and libretto writing further reflect his commitment to expanding the scope of African classical music.

His contributions to music education and performance continue to impact the Nigerian music landscape, positioning him as a leading advocate for the growth of structured music training and cultural preservation.
